I would like to ask all that are interested in the following feature to provide feedback.

Since the holidays are winding down, more time will be spent on updating features on HuntFishSport.com. First off, a few features that are almost done that will hopefully be out soon.

- Blog section for profiles. This will be a useful feature for personal blog entries and also for writing articles/tips, etc..

- Fish and Game activity times. This will be a really cool feature that will allow you to input a location and get back some of the following output:
-->Sun Rise/Set
-->Moon Rise/Set
-->Moon Phase
-->Moon Illumination
-->Minor and Major feeding activity times
-->Rating for the days activity on a 0-5 scale

This will be cool and me being a firm believer in lunar influence on game activity, it will be very useful.

-And finally, some updates to the forum.

Stay tuned for these changes....they are coming soon.


Ok, now on to the feature that I would like some feedback on.

HFS will be integrating a fishing/hunting journal/log into your profile. This will give you the ability to keep track of your catches/kills along with pertinent data (weather, moon, time, etc.). You will be able to use this data to find patterns and use these to increase/improve your outings.

So, below is the data that will be used for the fish log which will be launched first, with the hunting log shortly there after. So, that being said, please reply to this post with ideas for other pieces of data that need to be captured for the fishing log and lets start a list for the hunting log as I am not the biggest of hunters and am not sure to what extent we want to capture data.

Moon Phase (The site will populate this based on the date)

This is a first stab at the data to collect, add to this as you see fit and suggest data for the hunting log...This got kinda long, so I'll end it here.

Vinny...I don't know what the capabilities are for your log. Which I think is a great idea, one of which I have yet to really get started for myself (always take a stab at it and never finish up).

Just a couple thoughts since you seem to have so much flexibility with programing. Along with the moon phase, would it be possible to have the site enter the daily sun/moon rise and set, and also the projected hot times. This would be a great tool for evaluating the catch and create any patterns on certain areas....etc you know what I mean better than I do.

Also it would be cool if there were a printable version on the site for easy in boat record retention.

Those are the only thoughts that come to mind at the moment...I'll keep thinking though.

Good work Vinny, I like the updates.

You are talking within the actual log/journal entry? If so, yes I will build in that capability.

Yes this is included...you can upload pictures as part of a blog post.

I am new to your site and you have very useful information. I would like to see an application for blackberry, iPhone, smartphone etc. for the solunar table. This would be a first and would be very useful to have on the go.

How about a way to save your local hunting location zip code? Each time I enter the site I need to reenter my zip as it appears to devert back to the default.
