Anyone else having a tuff season. Here it's been above average in the heat, the rain and the wind making deer sightings really bad due to deer not moving. Almost like they are only moving at night. Found several trails today with plentu scat and never saw one deer,m not even a doe. There is however either,coyote/wild dog problem in the area I hav e found out. On the trails I found with the deer tracks, there were also the dog tracksnfresh as the deer tracks, amost as if they were tracking or chasing them. Tomorrow morn. Being our last muzzleloader day I hope to let my T/C bark instead of the dogs

We have had similar issues here in Southeastern Virginia as well. With the false rut kicking things off and then the fluctuation of hot and cold, it has been really tough this year. I have currently been watching the same 10 to 12 pointer since October waiting on the right shot! This area is unlike any area that I have ever hunted before! It sounds like you may have a coyote problem or just someone in and out of your area. Maybe move your stand for a couple of days as well as your game cameras and try to determine where the deer have moved their route to. Take a day and just walk your property and look for signs! I hope that this helps. Good Luck!

sniper EJ7 , i have walked the area a week or so back and have found some travel routes with fresh sign.. now it's time to get with it b4 the season goes out..all i have left now is crossbow season (since i am disabled).. popped a blind up today at noon and while i wa there i saw fresh rubs on a good sized tree, scrapes that had been used recently but the rain all day yesterday washed them up ,so i made a mock scrape about 30 yards out from my blind and hopefully that will hold him still for a quick shot
