I'm looking for some advice and guidance when it comes to turkey hunting in CA. The season starts march 27th and I'm doing some legwork trying to pick a spot. Has anyone ever heard of Cedar Roughs Wildlife Area. I've done a bunch of research on the area and plan to Scout it for turkey evidence a few weeks before the season opens. My question is that I'm a little foggy on the process. Do you just park your car, hike into the woods and go for the gold. I guess you have to follow all hunting laws (which I've learned) and make sure not to trespass and that's it huh?
Anyone having any advice for someone who is teaching themselves how to hunt turkey it would be much appreciated.
