Just a neat idea. I think i would choose the recurve/ longbow. I enjoy archery too much to give it up and i think that i can hunt the widest variety of "critters" with it.

If I could only hunt with one weapon it would be hands down a .338 winchester mag . in a Remington 700 model stainless steel 24" barrel . With lepould vx3 3x9x40 mm scope with lepould duel dovetail scope mounts . I would use 225 gr. barnes x bullets . This set up is tough as nails and will take everything nature has to offer .

For me it is simply a Savage 99cd .308, not because I believe it is the best rifle ever made or because it can drop a rhino at 2000 yards, or that it possesses magical powers that make animals flock to me, but simply because it was given to me by my Dad, the man who taught me how to shoot, how to hunt, how to be safe, follow the rules and respect the land. He took the time to teach me what it means to be a real outdoorsman and when I head out in the woods with that rifle, it's like he's right there with me.

for a gun, i would select 30-06. widest range of ammo available. bullets from 50 grain to 225 grain. varmits to large game. any sporting goods store has the ammo. good power and accuracy. overall i would use my crossbow. in ohio i can deer hunt from end of sept to feb. with my crossbow. accurate to 50 yards. gives me alot of deer hunting opportunity. the deer actually die quicker from a bow shot. way more tissue damage with a broadhead.
