I have been using this calander for the last 3 yrs hunting in Florida, Wisconsin, and Illinois. It may not be perfect everywhere but it has worked very well for me.
You may see that my profile has me joined in 2011, but due to me forgetting my password I had to start a new account this year.

The table can be a good guide to help determine activity levels for fish and game. It should not be used as the bible for times to fish/hunt, but can give you a good idea of which days/times might give you a better opportunity for that good outing on the water or in the woods. I have enjoyed many times over the years where the calendar has been really successful, but there have also been those times where the weather and other factors have lead to me not having the best results. Use the calendar to help you find patterns of what works well and what doesn't. Hope you share some of your experiences with others on the site.....enjoy!

My experience has been mostly positive when put in perspective. Used it to book a couple of days of salmon fishing last year and had 2 of the best days that I have ever had on 2 peak days. For hunting, as someone else mentioned, there are many other factors (weather, hunting pressure, rut, etc.) that contribute, but overall I see more activity when the stars are high versus low (confirmed with lots of trail camera pictures). I plan many of my hunts based on the prime times. Gives me a lot more confidence heading to woods. Easier to sit when you know that it is a good day. If I book an out of state hunt then I try to book when there is a new moon and 5 stars so that the major activity is during the daylight hours instead of the middle of the night.

I have been keeping up with the solunar calendar on this site for a few months now and I have to say that in my experience the fishing is generally spot on to what the stars for the day predict. My best catch of the year so far has been on a 5 star night. I also agree with the others on the additional conditions that could factor in to your outing. If its 2 or more stars I am trying to find a way to go out and enjoy it!

The stars are a representation of the quality of day on a scale of 5 based on the best solunar factors. The stars rating is just a guide though and other factors like weather conditions (wind, precipitation, cloud coverage, pressure, etc..) can dramatically effect a days rating one way or the other.

veny chase is rite weather has a big role in the feeeding activity but u can count on the luner phases to be right if u can hunt on those days and times iv used it for years. if u can get good cold weather and the luner phases r good hunting is real good.

The solunar calendar on this site is dead on for me. I live in northeast Ohio and took two does last Tues and Wed during the major/excellent feeding times. weather for these times were perfect. no rain but cloudy, cold, slight wind. solunar calendars determine when I'm going to hunt. Otherwise, you might be wasting your time unless you're hunting during the middle of the rut in your area which this year is anywhere from 11/12 through 11/20 per Charlie Alsheimer.

Solar chart worked great for me yesterday. Activity picked up just like it said and I was able to bag a good eight point. I've told all my hunting buddies about this. Save us from setting on the stands for hours without seeing anything.

I used it for many years Hunting and Fishing, during Ice Fishing its very good and I find during Deer season its good. ing Here in Michigan I'm seeing a Late Rut maybe 7 to 10 days off, the week of the 21 thur the 27 of Nov looks like a good Mid-Day time to be in the woods. Was out late afternoon today seen 6 Does, the thing that is hurting me is that I have 300+ acres of Corn still standing around the land I'm hunting.

I just found the site today. I shot my first buck last week, and it fell directly within the times provided on the deer moon phase calendar. Also spoke to my cousin who turned me onto the site, his 6 point was also taken down inline with the times provided on the calendar. so yes, in my opinion it works, we'll see what happens on Turkey Day and Friday as it says 5 star, so i am looking for the big one out there, will report back!

The deer activity was good today with a lot of activity in the middle of the day and then again at dark. This coincides with the table. We had several deer moving close to our stands and had one small buck taken. I have limited out on bucks taking a small 9 pt with my bow on Friday November 18th at 5:10 pm and a nice 8 pt with my rifle on Saturday November 19th at 6:45 am. My son also took a 8 pt with his rifle on Saturday 19th at 5:20 pm. Edited by user Wednesday, November 23, 2011 1:03:14 AM(UTC)
