i have two hortons. happy with both. my old hawk sl i 150lb. killed dozen or more. good out to 40 yrds. comfortable shot for me is 30 or less. got a team real tree 175lb last yr. it will reach out to 50 yrds. comfortable at 40 yrds. the 150 lb bow is easy to cock by hand. i also decock it by hand, just have a firm grip on the string when i pull the trigger though. hurts when string rolls off of fingers. the 175 can still be cocked by hand ( no device) need to shoot an old arrow to decock this one though. shot two deer last year, one at 20 yd, one at about 30 yrd.
