Any good stories or pics from this year's deer hunt?

So far between bow hunting and the shotgun season crickets for jickyjack. Of course, I saw a big 8 the Tuesday before opener bow hunting 30 yards away, but he wouldn't give me a clear shot. So I figure over the course of 9 days I would see him once during the firearm season. Well I did, but he was out in the corn field 200+ yards away. I guess there's still muzzleloader and more opportunities with the bow left.

Regular gun season come in Alabama on the 21st, so far no major deer activity. 10 pointer was seen but didn't present a shot. I have a lot of nice bucks on greenfields but all late at night.

I've been seeing deer early in the morning lately here in NE OK starting on Nov 20th. I killed a 5 pt at first light on the 20th and my son killed a "27" point measuring approximately 170 inches (see attached pic). A very symetrical 12 point with a lot of trash on his brow tines. Killed it at 8 am on Nov 21st. It was his first deer and he hit it with a 270 cal, at 100 yds on the run, dead away from him. I was there, saw the shot, and dressed and butchered the buck, otherwise I wouldn't have believed it. I also saw a doe on the move beside the road today at 11:30 am. The taxidermist told me he usually see's 30 - 60 deer after the first two days of season, but he has only recieved 6 to date. Really slow so far this year. The cold front that is coming in should make things happen
