My name is Eli Merfeld, I live in Dubuque, IA. I am 20 years old and have been fishing ever since I could remember. Fishing is one of my favorite sports, I fish for all types of fish; catfish, walleyes, bluegills and crappies to name a few. I fished in a couple tournaments last year and plan to continue to competitively fish. I spend most of my time on the mississippi river, fishin either north or south of lock and dam #11. 

I also spend a lot of time hunting as well. Ive been around hunting as long as Ive been around fishing. My favorite game to hunt is white-tailed deer and ring-necked pheasant. I also hunt rabbits and squirrels. I started bow huntin for whitetails 2 years ago and still go shotgun season every year but I enjoy bow hunting a whole lot more. I have an 11 year old Brittany Spaniel that I used to take bird hunting with me but after a couple litters of pups and 11 years she doesn't have it in her to go out anymore. I will be looking into buying a pup this year.
